My story

Meet Josephine (aka Joey) – A Fluffy Little Treasure! Josephine, lovingly nicknamed Joey, is a long-haired beauty with a soft, fluffy coat and a gentle spirit. This gorgeous girl is on the smaller side, but she’s got a big personality just waiting to shine once she feels safe and settled. Joey starts out a little shy and observant—she likes to take in her surroundings before jumping into the action. But once she’s comfortable, she’s a whirlwind of energy, curiosity, and affection! She loves playing with her brothers, especially when there are wand toys, tunnels, or a good cat tree involved. After playtime, she knows exactly how to wind down: a cozy bed, a yummy meal, and soft pets as she drifts off to sleep. Because of her long coat, Joey will need a caring person who can help her stay groomed and mat-free with regular brushing. She’s good with other cats but isn’t quite sure about dogs yet and would prefer a canine-free home. 🔹 Joey is in the process of receiving her age-appropriate kitten vaccinations. 🔹 She will be spayed and microchipped as part of her adoption when she's a little older. 🔹 Like all young kittens at SPCHS, Joey will not be placed in a home with children under 6 years old. 🔹 SPCHS does not finalize adoptions for untested kittens—FIV/FeLeuk testing will be done after she’s at least 10–12 weeks old to ensure a negative result. Josephine is currently reviewing applications -- her adoption will be finalized after July 7, once she reaches 12 weeks of age and completes testing.
