Oh my goodness I met the perfect baby loving doggo today! She’s dog friendly, cat friendly, and loves her humans! Her name is Lily and she quite literally bloomed from a reserved bud to a glorious sunflower when a baby walked into the room during our visit together! If you are looking for a dog to add to your family that is going to be your child’s best friend, look no further! Lily Lorraine has entered the 3LP crew and is ready to find her forever family! We believe Lily is a shepherd mix of some sort who is around 1 year old and weighs approximately 50 pounds. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. But that’s the beauty of rescue! You get a surprise mix specially curated for your family to love! ;) Watch Lily love the babies here: https://youtu.be/GIdRCDkZ86A Lily Lorraine is a girl who enjoys the simple things in life. She is definitely going to be your companion that sits by your side as you sip your coffee on the porch watching the sun rise and set. She could lay next to you peacefully as you fished in your boat on a soft spring day. She is also the girl that will cuddle you on your bed as you dive into a good book. She loves the quiet things. The serene life. She even was peaceful with our housecat Biggie! When they met, she just sniffed him and let him go on his merry way! The best part about her is that she is in love with children! She met our 2 year old friend Charlie and lit up like a christmas tree when she saw her! Her tail began to wag and she gave Charlie gentle kisses. She was so patient as Charlie messed with toys around her head and put tape on her fur. She would make the perfect addition to a family seeking to add a new member to their tribe. When Lily visited us at Rustic, at first she was very nervous and quiet as she took in all the loud dogs and walkie talky buzzing. She didn’t seek to play in the yard with our resident dogs as much as she wanted to lay in the grass and observe. But, she lives with many dogs of various sizes and temperaments at her foster home and is very playful with them! She is dog friendly and would do well with a low/medium energy dog that will allow her to slowly build up trust. But she is also so content with herself that she would be an excellent solo family dog. She isn’t seeking anything more than love and devotion and assurance that she is in a safe space. Lily seemed to get more comfortable when we brought her inside. I can definitely see her soaking up the pampered pooch life! She stretched herself out on the floor and enjoyed some cuddles from our friend Jessica the moment we left the yard! She would do well in a suburban area or country setting where the surroundings are quiet. She is not a city girl by any means! She is not built for apartment life either. The constant hustle and bustle of neighbors and cars would not help her achieve the serenity that she desires! But she would thrive in a home with a yard for her to sunbathe and play with her future family! Lily is the perfect companion for a family seeking to add a sweet girl to their home! Our staff was obsessed with her and we are so excited to make her future family super happy! Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
