My story

Skeeter is looking for his FOREVER HOME and his happily ever after. Skeeter was rescued in Georgia a few months ago with another beagle, Snoopy. They were brought to animal control in horrible shape. They were both extremely emaciated weighing half of what they should have and covered in fleas and ticks and full of parasites. We were able to bring Snoopy into rescue right away, and he has been adopted into a loving home. Now it’s Skeeter’s turn. We want to make sure we find him a home where he can be loved and cherished for the rest of his life. Skeeter is a 5 year old Beagle/Basset and weighs 35 lbs. He is Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date with shots. We did have a dental done as his teeth were in dreadful shape, sadly many needed pulled so he has very few teeth. Skeeter is house and crate trained. He is extremely sweet and loving and just wants a person of his own - and we mean of his own. After all the neglect he has experienced he just cannot share his human with another pet so Skeeter needs to be the one and only pet love of your life. He is a Velcro dog and wants to follow you everywhere, sit right with you on the couch and will even sleep with you if he’s allowed. He rides great in the car and will play fetch forever. He walks fair on the leash, but likes to follow his nose like all hounds do. He is in Citrus County, Florida.
