My story

How this pet arrived: Vern was brought in by his previous owner on June 10, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Vern, a long-haired flame point heartthrob with movie-star good looks and the personality of a retired philosopher. Vern isn't one for chaos - he was stressed out by recent changes in his last home and is now on the hunt for a calm, quiet place to call his own. He's an independent guy who enjoys doing his own thing (think: long naps, staring out windows like he's contemplating the universe), but when the mood strikes, he'll grace you with his presence for some affection. Vern would love a peaceful home without kids, other pets, or surprise dinner parties - unless he's got his own private suite and there's treats. If your idea of a perfect night involves a cozy couch, soft lighting, and a very fancy cat nearby pretending not to care that you're obsessed with him - Vern just might be your guy! Buy an extra litter box or two to make sure his needs are met, pick up a carrier, and come ask about adopting him today! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Shy/Fearful Cat:  Vern requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: Red Point Weight: 8.3 Age: 10yrs 0mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Vern, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
