My story

🌸 Meet Junebug 🌸 This sweet soul has already weathered more than most ever should. Junebug came to us after living outside in a shed—battling the Georgia heat, mange, and heartbreak. She was a young mom to 6 puppies, some of whom didn’t survive due to malnourishment. But Junebug? She held on. Now treated for mange and starting to shine again, Junebug is slowly finding herself. On the outside, she may still be shy and reserved—nervous around new people and often seeking quiet corners to hide. But with time, patience, and a little canine encouragement, she blossoms. Around dogs, Junebug thrives. She watches how they interact with humans and takes her cues from them, slowly learning that people can be kind and gentle. 💖 When she opens up, she’s goofy, dainty, and full of sweet smiles. 🐾 She’s dog-friendly and finds comfort in their companionship. 🚽 Still working on her potty training, but making great strides. 🛏️ LOVES her crate—it’s her safe space. 🎓 Currently enrolled in the Hamilton Hounds Prison Training Program where she’s learning obedience and building confidence. Junebug is looking for a calm, understanding family willing to let her grow at her own pace—and ideally with a dog friend or two to help her along the way. ✨ Want to be a part of Junebug’s healing journey?
