My story

Abby is a loving 7-year-old Pointer-Pitbull-Lab mix, weighing around 45–50 lbs. Sadly, her owner recently passed away in hospice care, and now Abby is in search of a new forever home filled with love and companionship. She is: • Spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations • Great with children and has experience living with other dogs • Not tested with cats • House-trained and lives comfortably indoors Abby enjoys: • Playing fetch and going for walks • Spending time with people and being part of the action • A calm, affectionate environment—her foster describes her as having a “nice energy” Note: Abby does have some food guarding behavior, which is managed with scheduled feeding times and designated feeding areas. Abby is part of Mercy Hospices’ Pet Peace of Mind program. We support our patients and their families through the end-of-life journey, ensuring they do not worry about the current or future care of their beloved pets. Abby is in West St. Louis County
