My story

Gidget is a five-year-old, 13-pound Chihuahua with a heart full of love and a personality that will steal yours. She was picked up by Riverside shelter as a stray and was terribly scared and shy, and would not come to anyone. Plus being a Black dog, no one showed interest in her and she was put on the euthenasia list... We stepped in to pull her, and after Gidget was given some space and time, she now comes to you and wants to be petted, held and is full of affection! Not once has she ever growled, shown her teeth or tried to bite. Gidget is incredibly loyal, intelligent, and brave—always curious and quick to warm up when she feels safe. She is a really good little companion girl! Gidget's the perfect combination of cuddly and playful, and she especially enjoys wrestling with other small dogs. She is quiet, well-mannered, and has a mellow, calming energy that makes her an ideal companion for a peaceful home. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, and fully dog-door trained. Gidget is currently in foster care in Victorville, CA, and is ready to find her forever home.
