My story

Looking for a pup with a big heart, big personality, and even bigger potential? Meet Angel, a sweet and energetic boy who’s ready to find his forever home!Angel is a small dog with a mighty spirit – light enough to scoop up in your arms, but strong, agile, and adventurous enough to join you on hikes, backyard ball-chasing, and all kinds of outdoor fun. He loves to be with his people and is happiest sniffing around a big backyard, or playing with some other strong dogs! Once he settles down, he is a massive cuddler that would love to curl up on your lap.Recently, Angel spent time in a loving foster home, where we learned a lot about who he is and what he needs to thrive. He’s a happy and curious pup who just needs someone to show him to be the best version of himself.Here’s a little more of what his foster had to say about him:House training: Doing great! Just one initial accident when he first arrived. He’s doing well with potty reminders like “go potty.”Leash skills: Still practicing, but he’s off to a good start. He’s comfortable walking in the backyard and around the house.Sleeping: Sleeps in a kennel beside the bed and has made big improvements in settling at night. Some nighttime potty breaks help him stay calm and avoid accidents.Toys & play: Loves chasing balls and nibbling on toys. He has a playful streak and likes rough-and-tumble fun, especially with dogs who match his energy.Energy level: High! Angel would do great with someone who can match his enthusiasm and provide daily physical and mental activity.Dog socialization: Gets along well with most dogs, especially those his size or larger who aren’t pushovers. He’s still learning boundaries with smaller or more sensitive pups, so careful introductions and supervision are key.Alone time: He doesn’t love being confined and has a loud bark when distressed, so a home without shared walls (like an apartment or condo) would be ideal.Angel is still learning the ropes of being a well-rounded dog, and he’ll need a bit of decompression time in his new home to relax and adjust. But with patience, consistency, and love, Angel is going to blossom. He’s already shown so much progress in just a few days and is eager to bond with someone who can be his guide and best friend.Angel isn’t just a good boy – he’s a great one in the making.
