My story

Hi there, I am a handsome little 3-year-old, 25 lb Terrier/Chihuahua mix with soft cream/white fur and a sweet-as-can-be attitude. I was found with 2 other dogs in a field in San Antonio, Texas, and when the others ran off, I went right up to a lady with my tail wagging and asked for some help. I was hurt and in pain with a large gash behind my ear, along with multiple bite/puncture wounds throughout my body and legs. She reached out to 4 Little Paws Rescue, and I was sent to the vet for emergency medical care. These days, I am fully healed, feeling great, and despite my ordeal, I remain a little gentleman, loving and grateful to everyone, and still friendly with other dogs. My foster mom says I’m an awesome dog, friendly, smart, playful, snuggly, eager to please, and I love everyone, maybe even a kitty cat. I chased one at my foster home, but I’m sure I can learn not to. I play well with big dogs and small, understanding dog social cues, and I enjoy some playful banter with my people. I love pets and tummy rubs, sharing kisses, and lying in your lap if I’m allowed. I am well-behaved, rarely bark, and I’m housebroken. I’m learning some commands and enjoying the practice time. I walk nicely on a leash without pulling, and I LOVE going out for a walk so I can explore. I don't mind a ride in the car, and although I’m not in love with being locked in a crate, I sleep in one each night with minimal fussing, and during the day, when the door is left open, I go in and out as I please. I hear many wonderful families on the East Coast would be happy to have a sweet little dog like me, so I can't wait to meet them and get my life started!
