ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Petite Age : Approx. 4 yrs old Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Scheduled Breed: Chihuahua mix Colour: White Weight: 4kg / 9lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hi everyone! I’m Petite. I was found all alone by a river, wearing a yellow and black striped jacket, feeling lost and scared. Animal control brought me in, but with so many pups in need, I was sadly placed on the euthanasia list at the city pound. Thankfully, some kind and caring rescuers saw my story and stepped in just in time to give me a second chance at life. Now, I’m ready to leave the past behind and find a warm, loving forever home where I can share all my love and happiness!   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) In good health, with no known medical issues   MY PERSONALITY Just like my name, I’m petite in size but big in heart—a tiny Chihuahua mix full of charm and sweetness! Volunteers and staff can’t stop gushing about how adorably tiny and cute I am, and trust me, pictures just don’t capture all my lovable fluff and sparkle. I might be a little shy at first, taking a moment to feel comfortable, but all it takes is a gentle hand, some tasty treats, and soft pets to melt away my shyness. Once I warm up, I’m a little sweetheart who loves to snuggle and shower you with affection!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS - With People:  I can be a bit shy at first, but just give me a little time and some tasty treats, and I’ll warm up to you in no time! Once I feel comfortable, I’ll happily soak up pets and won’t hesitate to demand your attention—I just can’t help myself! Plus, you can easily pick me up—after all, who could resist a little bundle of cuteness like me?   - With Dogs: I enjoy greeting other dogs but usually prefer to keep to myself and observe from a distance. Energetic dogs can sometimes overwhelm me, so I appreciate a calm, structured environment. When it comes to my food, I can be a bit sensitive if other dogs get too close—I’ll gently growl to let them know I need my space.   - With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, but with slow, gentle introductions and some patience, I’m confident I could learn to live peacefully alongside a feline friend.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy spending time outdoors exploring, but I also love to snuggle up and relax indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk nicely on leash and follow my handler well. I don’t guard my food or toys around people, and while I’m usually calm, I might bark gently when I want your attention. I’m comfortable resting quietly in my kennel and prefer to do my potty outside. When I need to protect my space around other dogs, I’ll gently growl, but that’s as far as it goes.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help guide and let me become my best self. I’ll thrive in a home with:   - A family who can provide me with a calm, structured, and safe environment. - A family who understands that I can be protective of my food around other dogs, and is willing to use positive reinforcement to gently guide me toward feeling more relaxed and patient during mealtimes. - Ideally, I’d be the only dog in the household to help me feel my best and most comfortable. - A family who likes to do outdoors activities and spend time together.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m not quite sure how I ended up all alone, but I’m ready to leave my past behind and start a fresh, happy chapter! Despite my tiny size, I’m absolutely adorable and full of personality that will surely steal your heart. At first, I might be a little shy and stand-offish, putting up a small guard, but with some patience and tasty treats, I’ll quickly become your loyal and loving companion. When meeting new dogs, I do need gentle, thoughtful introductions since energetic pups can overwhelm me. Even if I’m unsure or uncomfortable, I’ll kindly use a gentle growl to let them know how I’m feeling and what I need.   ##2434785##
