My story

  Meet Cotton - a shy sweetheart with a purr like a Harley and zoomies that’ll keep you laughing. Cotton is a sweet, soft-hearted kitten who’s learning to trust the world one day at a time. She’s timid and shy at first, and loud noises or sudden movements (especially the dreaded vacuum!) send her running for cover. But don’t be fooled, once she feels safe, Cotton is a total love bug.  She’ll curl up next to you for cozy naps, rub against your legs while you try to walk, and chatter away with the cutest chirps, squeaks, and squawks when she wants food or affection. And when she’s not in snuggle mode? She’s full of kitten energy! Whether she’s pouncing on her favorite toys or zooming up and down the stairs, Cotton is always ready to add a little chaos to your day. Cotton would do best in a calm, patient home where she can blossom at her own pace. She’s not the kind of kitten who warms up overnight — but for the person willing to earn her trust, she has so much love (and mischief!) to give. We think Cotton may do well in a home with another friendly cat to show her the ropes, but a household with young children or lots of loud noises would likely be too overwhelming for her sensitive nature. Adoption fees are as follows, plus tax: $150 for large adult dogs (older than 1 year); $250 for small dogs (under 25 lbs) and all puppies (under 1 year); $60 for adult cats (over 6 months of age), $100 for kittens (under 6 months of age), and $25 for small animals. When you adopt a pair of kittens together, the total adoption fee is $150.  PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia's homeless and at-risk animals. PAWS is the city's largest rescue partner and provider of low-cost, basic veterinary care.
