My story

***Currently located in Guerrero, Mexico Hi! I am Lisbon, the mom of the Money Heist Litter. For a long time, I roamed the streets trying to find a place where I belong. I tried to just survive. People scared me and I kept my distance — no one could get close enough to touch me. But when I knew I was about to have puppies I settled next to a small store directly on the main street. They fed me sometimes, so I felt at least a little bit of support. After I had my pups, something in me shifted. I could tell the kind humans trying to help us meant well, and I let them bring me and my babies to safety. Now that I’m in the shelter, I’ve learned that gentle hands and kind voices aren’t so scary after all. I’m a mellow, calm girl who loves quiet affection. When new people arrive at the shelter, I’ll walk over and say hello in my polite way (no crazy running or jumping ;)). Once I’ve sniffed you and know you’re a friend, I’ll lean in close for pets — and be prepared, I will ask for more by nudging your hand!  I was a very patient mom, even when my puppies got a little too rowdy. Here at the shelter, I get along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Drama isn’t really my thing — I much prefer a peaceful environment and a cozy spot to relax. Daily walks are part of my routine at the shelter and I have been taught a few basic commands like “sit” and “stay.” On the leash, I’m calm and well-mannered, and while I do enjoy being outdoors, I am definitely up for curling up next to you on the couch on rainy days! What I’m really looking for now is a forever family who will love me for the quiet, gentle soul I am. Someone who’ll go on adventures with me and also likes to engage in couch-potatoing sometimes. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who asks for very little and gives a whole lot in return, I might just be your girl.Your Lisbon
