My story

Good With Kids: Yes Good With Other Dogs: Yes but needs to learn some manners! Good With Cats: Unknown Housetrained: Yes - young and still learning! Crate Trained: Not currently Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes - young and still learning! Knows Basic Commands: Yes - eager to learn, very quick & smart! Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Medium but also happy to cuddle in your lap. Special Needs: N/A Physical Fence: Preferred Favorite Toy / Activity: LOVES stuffy toys (does not destroy), balls and ropes to play fetch, Nylabones. Very good at distinguishing what is "hers" vs. not. Arrival Story: This little lady was spotted eating trash on the side of the road in Detroit. Approximate age / Weight: 1 year old and 32 lbs. Personality: Dukkha is a dainty little girl who may be a little hesitant at first but warms up quickly with patience and love. She's full of personality: silly, snuggly, smart, and very expressive. She loves stuffy toys (and doesn't destroy them!) and playing fetch. Impressively, she already knows which toys are hers versus which ones belong to her foster parents. She is great at holding her potty overnight but still working on the art of going OUTSIDE when it's time to go. She loves adventures - great in the car and quick to pick up the new skill of leash walking. Dukkha is so eager to learn, especially if she knows you have her favorite treats! She picks up commands quickly and is highly food-motivated. She has met children (including babies!), other dogs (though she’s still learning her manners), and may be okay with cats, but she hasn’t met any yet. While young and full of puppy-like exuberance, she has a great natural rhythm - after a busy day of play and exploration, Dukkha will happily curl up in your lap and often puts herself to bed around 9 PM. New Home: Our Dukkha would fit into many home life situations. She's eager to please and waiting for someone to share adventures with. She'd love a fenced back yard of her own but she's willing to concede that for doting humans :) Contact: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application. ADOPTION INFO: We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar on our website for the date and time of the next adoption event. Arrangements can be made to meet a dog outside of adoption events after an application is submitted and approved. Our adoption process includes an application and in-home meet-n-greet with the dog. -Adult Dog Adoption Fee - $250 -Senior Dog Adoption Fee - $125 -Pup Adoption Fee - $250 plus $50 spay/neuter deposit refunded upon proof of surgery by 6 mos.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dukkha Dandy Dervish III, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
