Chipper so sweet and gentle is a very good doggo!

My story

Where are all my pittie lovers at?! I met the perfect pittie boy today with dreamy brindle spots down his back. Meet Chipper! He’s smart, good lookin’, and knows how to balance play time with chill time! He’s an absolute 10/10 on the good doggo scale and he is ready for his forever family! We believe Chipper is a pittie mix who is about 3 years old and weighs approximately 60 pounds. Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our very best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. But we all know that rescue is the best breed because it comes with so much love and reward! He is a soft soul with a gentle spirit. His foster stated that she chose to rescue him because he had this irresistibly sweet nature about him. When we spent time together, I saw exactly what the foster was talking about! He was very mindful of everyone he was around and played great with new dogs! He was a bit shy at first as he opened up to new puppy friends. But as the interactions continued, he began to open up and let his radiant personality shine. We had him in a yard with very energetic and very mild mannered pups. He was drawn most to Lavender, a mild mannered, medium energy, sweet female. They just kind of hung out and sniffed around together. At his foster home, he has completely gotten comfortable and plays so well with her other fosters! She calls him the puppy whisperer because he has a way of interacting so well with new litters that come in! How sweet is that?! Chipper would do well with another medium energy canine companion that will allow him to build trust as he gets used to his new surroundings. Chipper has the type of personality that makes him a great match for a house with a yard or an apartment lifestyle. He isn’t the city type. He’s not drawn to loud atmospheres, or busy streets. He’s a suburban dude all the way! His foster says that Chipper does great around kids! We definitely think Chipper would do well in a home with older kids who know how to enrich a pup like Chipper who appreciates slow intros and gradual trust building. A cat household is probably not the best for Chipper because feline presence is the only thing to get Chipper extra excited! He may want to investigate the kitties in a way that they may not appreciate. Dogs and humans are Chipper's only companion needs! The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there!
