My story

Meet Sasha đŸŸSasha is a 2-year-old Mountain Cur mix who was recently owner released. She’s a one-of-a-kind girl with a mix of charm, sass, and hilarious quirks that will keep you on your toes. From her previous owners, we know she’s not a “runner” — she sticks around and especially loves open space like a big yard. Sasha isn’t gun- or firework-shy, but she’s not a fan of loud, chaotic environments. She’s good with kids, but prefers them in calmer doses. She’ll let you know if she’s uncomfortable by growling or hopping away.Sasha is potty trained, though she won’t bark to go out — she’s more of a “pace around until you get the hint” kind of girl. She’s kennel trained in theory
but let’s just say she’s an escape artist extraordinaire. She will cry, complain, and somehow manage to outsmart three different types of kennels. She’s a vigilant watchdog who barks at, well, everything. She’s also a counter-surfer who will snatch unattended food faster than you can blink — but won’t beg or steal from your plate. She has a “vacuum cleaner” tongue and will happily “help” clean up anything that hits the floor (and yes, she’s not picky).Sasha enjoys snuggles on her terms, loves jumping on furniture just because she can, and has a mischievous streak (dirty socks and baby wipes are her favorite treasures). She warms up to new people after a few meetings, and she’s been around children and another dog, though she’s selective about dog friends. At her best, Sasha shines in a quieter home with space to roam, like the 7-acre property where she previously thrived — there, she was calm, watchful of kids, and only barked when needed.Sasha is HEART WORM NEGATIVE, UP TO DATE on vaccinations, microchipped, and weighs 45 pounds. She’s full of personality, loyal once she bonds with you, and will keep life interesting every single day.Sasha's Adoption fee is $108 plus taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sasha, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
