My story

Hello, my name is Sterling and I'm a 6-month-old, neutered, shepherd mix that currently weighs about 30lbs. I'm still growing though and could reach around 60-70lbs as an adult. I'm a high energy guy that's always ready to go, go, GO! I love going on adventures with my favorite 2-legged friends! I'm still working on making 4-legged friends, so I'm hoping to find a family that has experience with helping playful guys like me build social skills. I've entered my 'baby shark' phase, so I prefer to live with teens and adults. I can't wait to be adopted! I'd love to go out and about and get tons of exercise with you! Please be sure to bring the entire household, including any resident dogs, to meet with me prior to adding me to the family. For more information about me, just ask Customer Service about Sterling! ID# A961461  Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor.
