My story

ABOUT REVA Meet our snuggliest girl, Reva! This lovely lady is a 3-year-old mix breed with the biggest heart! Reva came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in Louisiana, with her puppies, when they no longer had space for them. All of her babies have since been adopted, so now she's hoping to find her family too! Reva is the definition of a velcro, cuddly pup! She loves to sit in your lap, lean against your legs, and longingly look into your eyes. Due to her gentle, affectionate temperament, we think Reva would do well with children too. To give her some extra attention, Reva has participated in our Doggy Day Out program! Check out what our volunteers had to say about her: "Reva is such a sweetie! I took the 3-year-old for a scenic drive through Wilmington in some good AC. Next, she enjoyed a pup cup treat, a walk in the neighborhood and finally a break on the porch. She has a wonderful temperament and will make a great pet in her furever home" - Anne "I had Reva for DDO. It was getting really hot so we took a short 20 minute walk in the woods. We stopped after 10 minutes for water, then headed back to my house for the AC. Reva is very good in the car and also on the leash, she enjoyed smelling everything. She explored as soon as we got to my house. She jumped on the couch and right away wanted belly rubs and kisses which I was happy to provide. She is very loving and just wants to be with you. She ate a whole grain blueberry waffle which she loved. She also had some whip cream which she loved. She did take about half an hour nap, she was a very good house guest. Before we went back to the shelter we walked around the yard. It was just so hot today. She did love walking so I’d love to take her out on a long walk when it’s cooler." - Autumn If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Reva, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
