My story

Hi there! My name is Romeo, and just like my name suggests, I’m a total sweetheart. I’m incredibly affectionate and loyal, and I love nothing more than being close to my humans. I have a great balance of energy—I enjoy being active and playful, but I’m also a big fan of lounging around and taking naps. My foster mom says I’m a low-maintenance, medium-energy kind of guy. I’m already potty trained, crate trained, and I’m doing awesome at learning new commands. I’m looking for a family that’s calm, confident, and willing to keep helping me grow with the training program I will be completing. While I’m pretty easygoing, I’d love a home with older kids and a fenced-in yard where I can stretch my legs and play! I’m smart, friendly, and naturally protective of the people I love. I do well around other pets—including chickens! I haven’t met a cat yet, so we’d have to see how that goes. I enjoy meeting new people and always get compliments on how handsome and well-behaved I am during walks. I’m a healthy, happy young dog just looking for the perfect place to call home—where I can be your loyal Romeo and soak up all the love and attention I’ve been dreaming of. CURRENTLY BEING FOSTERED IN TX, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet may occur in person or on a video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.). Our adoption fee is $350. This adoption fee includes all current basic vaccinations, deworming, microchip (with lifetime registration), spay, and a heartworm test. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
