My story

Josie is a very patient and loving girl. She is easy to manage but also loves to play and be active with you. She loves to jump up and give hugs and just look into your eyes. She will do best in a home that will take her on walks/hikes, go swimming, play with her or have a furry friend who will play and keep her company. In some ways she is still very much a puppy herself. Josie does get a little nervous when first meeting new people and in crowds, but with time to adjust and continued practice she gets more comfortable. She did amazing at the Idaho Pet Expo. Josie is a female bully mix and just over a year old. She is the mother of 9 who are Tom, Duncan, Joey, Rickie, Johnny, Jessie, Caroline, Carie, and Jolene. Josie and the babies were pulled from a shelter where they were going to be put down, the babies were only 4 weeks old at that time. The shelter reached out to us for help and help we did. Josie has been the most incredible mom I’ve ever seen. Not only did she care for her own babies but she also cared for other moms babies who couldn’t nurse anymore and puppies were very young as well. She showed them all how to be and act. You couldn’t ask for better puppies because of her great teaching as a mom. Josie protects her own but also the others. Josie is crate, leash, potty trained. She is great with dogs, cats, kids, and other animals. Josie never meets a stranger and welcomes them with love. If you are interested in Josie please fill out the pre adoption application on link below. HTTPS://linktr.ee/northernstardogrescue

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Josie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
