My story

Tamara A17568755 lb. spayed female, approx 2 years old -Starts off very shy-Walks well on a leash but doorways made her pause-She cautiously explored everything out in the yard-Once inside, she immediately rolled over and gave me her belly for pets-She was happily pawing at me and wiggly around on her back-Then she started giving kisses-No interest in treats or toys but knows “sit”-Good girl who needs time and patience to fully come around-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
