My story

Oh, my heart be still! One look at this gorgeous hunk and I am smitten. It is hard to take my eyes off him. He is just a fine specimen! And his personality? Let me tell you all about Goliath. This incredibly charming boy is not for the faint of heart, that's for sure. He knows just how to look at you with those puppy dog eyes and that handsome face and get away with things. He doesn't know his size but thinks nothing of jumping on you to greet you and to give kisses. And what do you do? You take the hugs and the kisses wholeheartedly because seriously who can say no to that face? If you are sitting on the floor, he may lay on you with his 90lb weight. As much as you are gasping for air, you give in and hug him with all your might because that is what you do when you are gifted with a lush teddy bear! Toys? Boy, does he love toys. He acts like a little kid. He brings you toys and expects you to play with him. He doesn't seem to guard them. He gives a little rumble when he is fully engrossed in the toy, and you approach. Even though it is the Rottie rumble, we still strongly advise you not to remove anything from him without an exchange of another toy or treats. Walks, ugh walks. Goliath is a horrible walker on a leash. He likes to grab his leash to walk himself. Don't try to stop him because at a strong 90lb, he may just yank you down. If you were me, you'd land on your butt with a loud thud and a sore butt. Goliath thinks it is just the funnest thing to do. He then struts around with the leash in his mouth like he is the s*** Talk about a boy with a personality and a half! But no worries, our amazing trainer is working with him on how to walk like a gentleman :) Goliath is wonderful with dogs. He loves them all. Boys, girls, big, small. Doesn’t give 2 s***s if a rowdy dog is screaming at him. He goes about his business like the dog is invisible. Goliath is 4 years old (but acts like he is 6 months old). He is looking for a family who loves to engage in activities with him. Plays, runs, walks, hikes, anything. He is people oriented. He loves to be surrounded by people. If you gush over him, that may give you an edge over the other members of the family :) Goliath is crate trained, appears house trained. He is a grazer. Hardly finished his meals in one setting.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Goliath, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
