My story

KENNEL ID #18804 Born on December 29, Nellie is one of six adorable pups being raised in loving foster homes - and she is ready to find her forever family! Nellie’s dad is a Great Pyrenees, and it's clear this sweet girl got his guardian genes! She is around several chickens that she ignores but looks after. Nellie is a beautiful dog with the classic Pyrenees personality: loyal, protective, and incredibly smart.  Nellie is leash-trained and is working on her crate and house training like a pro. She is living with other dogs and pets, learning the ropes of good manners, and growing more confident every day. Right now, Nellie is going through a 'fear period' - a totally normal phase for guardian breeds. Big changes (like moving to a new foster home) can rattle pups like Nellie a bit more than average. But don't worry - with patience, love, and consistency, this stage will pass. Nellie took about a week to come around in her new foster home and is doing much better, but still needs more work. Out of the four remaining pups Nadia is the most outgoing and is happy and social wherever she goes. The next in line is Nina then Neo and lastly Nellie. Experienced Pyrenees parents would be a plus if you are interested in adopting Nellie. Their mother, Nova Lee, and her two nine-month-old sisters, Willow and Stormy, were rescued from a difficult situation due to their owners' struggles with addiction. The sisters survived a house fire, and Nova Lee and Willow had to deliver their puppies in the burnt-out home. Stormy gave birth to her pups after being rescued. Nova Lee, Stormy, and Willow have already found loving homes. One of Williw’s pups, recently had a DNA test done, and the results are available in the pictures. The father of all three litters is a Great Pyrenees, so some of the puppies may grow quite large. Adoption Fee $400 Thank you for your interest in rescue.  If you would like to be considered for  adoption,  please submit an application to adopt.  If you have any questions regarding the adoption process, please email:  rescuedp2024@icloud.com  or ddlu219@yahoo.com   for dog/puppies.    APPLICATIONS TO ADOPT : DOG         BIRD        REPTILE          SMALL ANIMALS        June 25, 2025, 12:11 am
