My story

Adoption by Advance Application OnlyAdoption Fee $220Dutton was brought to us after being hit by a car. This poor (but gorgeous) guy had a broken humerus and a luxated hip, both needing repair. Dutton had surgery and is recovering well. Currently, he still favors the right front leg (the leg not injured). In case that wasn`t enough drama/trauma, Dutton was also diagnosed as being heartworm positive on arrival. He is a young, purebred Border Collie who has been through so much already. Dutton has been in foster care throughout this entire ordeal, and we have learned a great deal during that time. He is nervous around men and loud noises. Dutton hates car rides! He vomits and poops anytime he is in a car (understandable, since he was hit by one). He is housebroken. Yay! Dutton has already started heartworm treatment here and will finish it here as well. In the meantime he is available as a foster to adopt. Email staci@hsscg.org for an application and/or more information. What do you think of when you hear the name Dutton? The Yellowstone saga? The politician? The boutique? We are pretty sure that our Dutton can be everything to you if you have the patience to work with the leftovers of his experiences. This handsome boy deserves to know about love and loyalty. Dutton is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has started heartworm treatment.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dutton, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
