My story

How this pet arrived: Paige was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team. At SDHS:Paige has been vaccinated, microchipped and is spayed. She is now ready for her new home! Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Paige! A sweet and friendly gal who is looking for a nice cozy home to settle into. She is truly a gentle giant who can't wait to give you as much love as you give her. While in our care, Paige has gone on Dog Day Out adventures with the public and K9 Adventures with volunteers. She is also a bit of a local celebrity, as she's been featured as 10 News' Pet of the Week and on FOX 5 San Diego!She walks well on leash, and while she can pull a little at first, she is very treat-motivated and will give you all of her attention with positive reinforcement. She also knows how to sit and shake. The best part: She leans into pets and loves to snuggle. Paige keeps her kennel very tidy, so we believe she is potty trained.We may not know much about her years before she entered our care, but we are so confident that she is going to have a bright future! Paige has some medical challenges that may require ongoing care once she goes to her new home.
