Meet Puma — A Gentle Soul, Finally Ready to Be Loved 🐾 Puma is a husky–Great Pyrenees mix with the heart of a survivor and the soul of a poet. For far too long, he was invisible—overlooked, forgotten, and left to wither away in a garage with no warmth, no food, and no love. But on January 31st, his story began to change. Rescued from a heartbreaking situation in Lancaster, Puma was saved by the kindness of Animal Control, the police, and the incredible team at Pawfect Companions. He was starving, weak, and unsure of the world—but he held on. And now, day by day, he’s learning what it means to feel safe. Puma is the definition of mellow. He has a calm, relaxed spirit and moves through the world with quiet curiosity. He’s not pushy or loud—he simply wants to be near someone who cares. Once he’s out of his kennel, you’ll see glimpses of the joy he’s discovering for the first time: a soft tail wag, a gentle nuzzle, a quiet moment in the sun. He loves tender affection, slow walks, and the feeling of grass under his paws—like every new experience is a precious gift. Puma may be just beginning to trust, but he’s ready for love. The kind of love that comes with soft words, patient hearts, and a home that finally feels like forever.
