My story

Meet Gracie- the girl that is grateful for a new life Gracie joined the Freedom Squad from Arizona Humane after being used for breeding most of her life. She came in with several large masses on her leg (now removed and confirmed benign) and had much-needed dental work done — including the removal of several teeth. This girl is 4.5-5 years old and learning how to be a dog she is more of a follower than a leader so she can be sassy sometimes while figuring things out. But make no mistake — Gracie is living her best life now. Her foster says she’s a total pool princess, floating around in her life jacket and floaty like she owns the place. She doesn’t last too long and is ready to get out. She doesn’t mind cooling off in the Az heat waves. When she’s not channeling her inner mermaid, she’s chasing her foster siblings in the yard or snuggled on the couch begging for belly rubs. Her favorite things in life? Lamb chop toys, food (any food), and you. Personality & Home Life Gracie follows the pack and thrives with doggy companions, she does prefer males or females that mind their own business until she is comfortable. She is not afraid to keep a dog in check if they get out of line with her. She is center of attention when company visits (classic Frenchie!). When its bed time she insists on sleeping next to you and wants all the snuggles. Gracie has mastered the doggie door, and is mostly potty trained (she has had a few pee accidents while she is excited). She will climb on the table to be next to you breathing down your neck! Anything to be a Velcro stage 5 clinger! Medical Notes Due to repeated C-sections, Gracie had extensive scar tissue that required special spay surgery. She also had a seroma post-op that has since resolved. She’s now a happy, healthy girl — finally getting to enjoy life as a dog, not just being used! She did great with her dental surgery and having her masses removed on both of her back legs! This girl is a freaking rock star under the knife! We are hoping this is it for her for a very long time!!! Gracie is a follower, not a leader — simply because she’s never had the chance to be loved and guided in a home. That’s where you come in. If you’re ready for a funny, affectionate, water-loving couch potato who will steal your heart and your snacks — Gracie is waiting for you. Apply to adopt at freedomfrenchierescue.org. Out-of-state adoptions welcome with approved application & transport coordination! Gracie is spay, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption donation fee is $1000.00 she is located in Scottsdale AZ.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gracie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
