My story

Lacy Chickpea A17557328 lb. spayed female, approx 2 years old Meet Miss Chickpea! Not the kind you put on salad — the kind that steals your heart.Last Seen: Trying to bury a treat in her blanket like a tiny snack dragon.Distinguishing Features•Fun-sized with a bonus underbite for extra charm•Enjoys shoulder hugs like a tiny, four-legged koala•Gives sweet kisses… and the occasional chin nibble (don’t worry, it’s love)•Walks like she’s training for the Shy Girl Olympics — warms up, then dives headfirst into cuddle mode•May not be into toys, but she is into your lap•Possibly part marshmallow, possibly part therapist — either way, she’s the best listenerPersonality Profile:-Timid explorer turned full-on snuggle bug. Treat enthusiast. Blanket excavator. May attempt emotional support cuddles without a license.Dog Compatibility:-Politely ignores nearby dogs. Could probably vibe with a furry roomie after a few proper and slow how-do-you-dos.-If found:Return immediately to the nearest lap. Or even better — make it her forever lap.-Come meet this lovable lentil before someone else scoops her up!-Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lacy Chickpea, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
