My story

Hi there! My name is Sage and I'm a 1-year-old, spayed Vizsla mix that currently weighs about 60lbs. My friends at PHS say I'm a little powerhouse with a heart as big as my boundless energy! I spent some time in foster care and in just a few days, I have shown great learning potential for commands such as “sit,” “fetch,” “leave it,” and potty training—thanks to my sharp mind, love of treats, and a keen eye to learn from other dogs in the house. During playtime, I rocket around the yard with the most joyful zoomies you’ll ever see; come cuddle o’clock, I'm your devoted snuggle partner, happily snoozing at your side. Though I may be a tad shy in new settings, my gentle curiosity shines through—I greet people and pups of all sizes with polite excitement and never bark out of place. ID# A960991Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor.
