My story

Meet Banjo – Your Gentle, Loyal Explorer! 🐾 Banjo is a 1.5-year-old Heeler mix with a big heart and a gentle soul. Affectionate but independent, Banjo loves being near his people but also enjoys finding his own cozy corner to nap or watch the world go by. He’s playful, smart, and curious — especially about water! Banjo lives for water play and will happily chase the hose or lounge on the pool's Baja shelf. He’s a fast learner, very treat-motivated, and thrives with positive reinforcement and a calm, patient approach. Banjo may be a little shy when meeting new people, but with proper introductions, he warms up and becomes your loyal shadow. He’s looking for a loving home where he can build confidence, continue learning, and be part of a stable, caring family. Banjo’s Best Traits:
✔️ Sweet, affectionate, and calm indoors
✔️ Water-loving and playful
✔️ Great on leash (harness preferred)
✔️ Sleeps through the night — and talks in his sleep!
✔️ No resource guarding and shares well with his brother Ideal Home: * Kids 10+ * A calm environment with structure and patience * Someone home most of the day * A fenced yard for safe play * Possibly another friendly dog (he loves his brother Buddy!) Banjo is ready to trade his past for a lifetime of belly rubs, water games, and quiet naps next to his favorite human. 🐶💕 📍 Currently in foster care.
Apply to meet Banjo and see if he’s your perfect match!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Banjo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
