Meet Barkley: 8 Pounds of Loyalty, Sass, and Fetch-Fueled Fun Looking for a tiny dog with a big personality and a strong preference for estrogen? Meet Barkley—a one-year-old Chihuahua mix, part lap-warmer, part fetch champion, and full-time heart thief (if you’re female). Barkley weighs in at about 8 pounds, but don’t let the size fool you—this little guy is a professional cuddler, an avid Nyla bone enthusiast, and a ride-or-die doggie bestie. He LOVES other small dogs (especially the ones that will play tug of war, snuggle on a rainy day, or share in a dramatic staring contest with the vacuum). His ideal home? One calm, loving lady who doesn’t mind being followed from room to room A doggie companion close to his size and energy level A home with low testosterone (sorry, teen boys and husbands—he’s just not your dude) Barkley has been through a lot, so it takes him a bit to trust. But once you’re in, you’re in. He’ll cuddle up with you like a furry, overprotective neck pillow. His favorite pastimes include: ✔ Playing fetch like it's an Olympic event ✔ Getting his ears rubbed (he melts) ✔ Snuggling up tight with his human or his canine BFF ✔ Politely (or not-so-politely) begging for watermelon He came from a rescue in Texas, and he's now ready for his forever retirement home—complete with treats, and belly rubs. Barkley is sweet, sensitive, and just wants a calm, cozy life filled with love, chew toys, and someone who understands that the quickest way to his heart… is thru his stomach.
