My story

Meet Sprout! He is a 32-lb, approximately 1 year old corgi mix. (Corgidor perhaps?)   Reasons Sprout is the best: He is house-trained. He knows sit and could probably learn more cues as he is very food-motivated. He is dog-friendly. He is a good boy for leashed walks, with some pulling if he sees a small critter he could chase. He loves throwing around and pawing his chew toys, especially rubber balls. He will sleep through the night in his crate if he has sufficient exercise during the day.  Things Sprout is working on:  He is mouthy! While he is responsive to patient redirection, he'd be even more successful with doggy manners class. He is reluctant to go in his crate on his own and can get vocal in his crate. He can be a little overwhelming for submissive dogs. What does Sprout's perfect family/home look like?  He'd do great as an only dog or with a dog his size and temperament to play with. Due to his prey drive, no cats. Because he's still learning his manners, he would do best in a home with only adults; respectful children 12+ may be considered. He requires a secure fenced yard and no shared walls because when he does bark it's a big WOOF. He'd love an active family who wants to take him on a couple walks a day.  Next Steps: If you are interested in meeting Sprout, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check and meet with everyone in the home. Sprout is neutered, UTD on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $400 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.June 16, 2025, 5:02 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sprout, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
