My story

Meet Benji! This sweet and gorgeous little boy is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/ Bichon Frise mix who is 1.5 years of age and weighs about 11 pounds. Sweet Benji was neglected in his previous home and we knew that even though he isn’t a dachshund, that we needed to help him! He has recovered from his former life and is ready for his forever home. Benji is crate trained and leashed trained. Because he is just a baby he is still working on his housetraining in his foster home in Maryland, but he is making good progress. Benji is good with both adults and children. He is a very friendly boy who loves attention. He has not been cat tested. Benji would love a home with younger dogs who love to play. He is a submissive boy who would do best in a calm environment. Benji is sleeping in a crate in his foster home but he would love a home where he could sleep in the big bed. Benji wants to be with his people as much as possible and loves to go for a car ride. Benji loves toys and he is the prince of de-stuffing stuffed animals. He is a very playful boy and would love a home that will take time to play with him and help him become a wonderful adult. Benji gets very excited at meal time and will jump up and down, but then, being the good boy that he is, he sits patiently and waits for his food.
