My story

Animal Profile:  Letty is an estimated 2 year old female, Chihuaha mix joining us from Texas on Monday, 6/09. Letty was found as a stray with her puppies. Unfortunately a couple of her puppies were killed by other strays. Thankfully they were taken into a foster home where they received a lot of TLC. They are now all healthy and happy waiting for their ride to the PNW. Foster Update:  Letty is a tiny ball of love with the biggest heart. She’s about 2 years old and weighs just 10 pounds, but her soul is huge. After spending her early days in a stray in Texas, raising a litter of puppies, Letty’s life took a turn for the better when she was rescued along with her pups (Kenan, Kel, and Kyra). Now she’s in Seattle, ready to find her forever home. Letty is as sweet and chill as they come. She adores her people and can’t get enough of snuggling. If you’re looking for a dog who just wants to be by your side, she’s your girl. She also loves being outside – whether it’s lounging in the sun or happily carrying around her favorite little stuffed animal friend. This girl’s been through a lot, but you’d never know it from her happy, wagging tail and wiggly butt. She’s easy-going, friendly with other dogs, and, based on her laid-back nature, would do well with kids and cats too.  Letty’s still working on learning some basic commands and getting the hang of walks, so her new family will need to keep up her training. She’s already potty and crate-trained and does great in the car. She’s a fast learner though, and we know she’ll be the best walking buddy once she gets the hang of it! If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate dog who’ll melt your heart and be your constant companion, Letty is the one for you. She’s ready to find a family who will give her the love and attention she deserves. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued in partnership with Animal Advocacy in Texas and arriving to Seattle area foster care via Paws Up Rescue on 6/09. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated.June 16, 2025, 4:40 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Letty, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
