COFFEE**

My story

I came to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I am the SWEETEST girl! Shelter staff immediately started talking about how sweet I am after they met me. Like many dogs in NC, I am currently heartworm positive (heartworms are transmitted by mosquito bites). OCAS will be helping by beginning my treatment but you`ll need to follow up with your veterinarian! During treatment I will be on an oral medication and will need to get a topical solution monthly until I have a Negative Heartworm Test. If you have any questions about this please ask to speak with a member of the medical staff.INSIGHTS FROM MY FREINDS/FOSTER/ADVENTURE BUDDIES:`Coffee is not only sweet but also unbelievably smart. Coffee will shower you with lots of love and licks whenever she has a chance. She likes to chew on grass when walking and loved after-walk training session (she learned paw!) Coffee is not a shy dog at all, she wants to say hello to other dogs and is always ready to start playing. Given enough space she will run and roll around with other furry friends and show you what it means to be “young and energetic”. She is very aware of her surroundings and good at reading the room. With that being said, Coffee was either taking a nap or munching on her bully stick very enthusiastically when we were working. Coffee stops by very gently to remind you about a water break and her bio-break. She will be on your lap and adorably fall asleep when you are laying on a couch. Her ears are super soft to stroke with and will help you decompress as you start your slow evening. Overall, we believe Coffee will thrive in a household with a good structure and presence.
