My story

***Currently located in Guerrero, Mexico*** Hi, I’m Sherlock! My story started on the streets of Mexico, where I was found with another pup—Watson, of course. We weren’t even the same age, just two lost souls trying to stick together. A kind woman saw us and decided we were worth saving. Thanks to her, we got our initial care, were sterilized, and spent some time in quarantine at the shelter to make sure we were healthy. Watson found a home in Mexico City with a friend of our rescuer, and I got the chance to come to the U.S. and start a brand new chapter with my current foster family. When I first arrived, everything was intimidating and new. I was a bit shy, and I didn’t quite know how to be a dog in a home. I stuck close to the back on walks, kept my distance from everyone (but my foster momma, who I trusted right from the start), and didn’t say much—except for one bark at a cow (they’re very suspicious, if you ask me). But wow, have things changed. Now, I’ve really come out of my shell! I’m full of love and I live for cuddles, belly rubs, and playtime. I know when it’s time to be mellow and when it’s time to be energetic—especially when I’m with my dog friends. I absolutely adore kids, love going for walks, and I could watch cows all day if you let me. I’ve made big strides with people, too. At first, I was timid around men, but now I’ve learned they can be safe and kind. I’ve even bonded with my foster dad and his son! I’m great with cats, dogs of all kinds, and I don’t bother the chickens or pigs. Potty training is going great, and I’m proud to say I’m almost there.I just needed a little patience and understanding to feel safe enough to thrive! If you're looking for a loyal, sweet, cuddly companion with a heart full of love and a past he's overcome, I might just be your guy. I’m beyond excited to find my forever home, where I can share all my love, affection, and those happy little wiggles for years to come.
