My story

Rocker is a spirited pup looking for someone with a big heart and a bit of patience. Once outside, Rocker walks nicely on a loose leash and appreciates gentle pets all over. He’s a bouncy, enthusiastic guy who really loves his toys, especially the fluffy ones! Rocker likes to chase, destroy, or tug his toys, but he’s also willing to trade them for another or a tasty treat. He’s gentle when taking treats, although he sometimes drops them or has a tough time actually eating them. Rocker has participated in shelter playgroup and has an adorable rumpus playstyle with other pups. Rocker is looking for a home that will appreciate his energetic spirit while helping him grow in confidence and learn that the world can be a kind place. Meet him any day between 10 am & 6 pm at ACCT Philly VIDEOS Rocker plays fetch: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/MaBB4PK1tOs?feature=shared Rocker gets pets: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VUK3uuR332A Playgroup 6/14: Cocoa, Luffy, Sage, Kyler, Red Dot, Rocker https://youtu.be/lS5KDQTg0V0 Rocker chewing a toy: https://youtube.com/shorts/G5YUE6wzs2c?si=SjMdRb99-2cqzO5E Playing with rocker: https://youtube.com/shorts/9foAftPv9lE?si=hv0d1ZpQysvINjCi Rocker loves stuffies: https://youtube.com/shorts/9cWMEmq-f6o?si=vvJzfZRqjW3lGo7O Rocker loves stuffies 2: https://youtube.com/shorts/tDW8HO_Pa5g?si=nNvL1D1NbkBHcRhq Pets for rocker: https://youtube.com/shorts/vSSWH5PgdMQ?si=N2SG4YEfY9GrcoJS BEHAVIOR Per volunteer 6/19: Rocker is a fun loving low rider. He likes to play his own version of fetch — run after the tennis ball, pick it up, and then chew on it somewhere instead of bring it back. He enjoyed pets too. He gently took a treat from me; it seemed a little difficult for him to eat as he dropped it into my hand at one point. He was able to eat it and my hand just got a little more slobber on it. He later declined another treat. He was easy to get out of the kennel and walk through the kennel. He pulled a bit when we got outside and due to his breed, I switched the leash to the harness method to take any extra pressure off his throat. He didn’t mind this at all. After playing outside, he didn’t pull at all so I kept the leash the usual way on the walk back. A few feet from his kennel door, he put on the brakes. I got behind him and picked him up without any issue. He didn’t show any discomfort or concern with this. I put him down in his kennel with a treat and was able to easily remove the leash and close the door. See his videos and photos! 6/16/2025 volunteer notes: Rocker has the cutest little waddle and some pretty cute teefies. When I had him outside he was good on leash and showed no interest in treats. He jumped up onto the bench with me and got into my lap for pets & to give kisses. Also, this dude LOVES a toy. He will rip them up and pull stuffing out but it's pretty cute to watch him play. He tires easily given his breed/ you should take it easy with him and not work him up too much because of his nasal breathing. He's a certified good boy with low-medium energy! 06/14/2025 volunteer notes: Another volunteer brought Rocker to play group. She reported he was a bit leash shy initially but she was able to get him out of the kennel fairly easily. After playgroup, I spent some extra time with Rocker. Rocker mostly loose leashed walked. He allowed pets all over. Rocker seems to love toys. He jumps up on all fours to try to grad the toys. He can be a bit mouthy. He will chase after the toys and destroy fluffy toys. He does allow the handler to take the toy or trade for another toy/treats. He takes treats gently but seems to have a difficult time eating them so he spits them out. Rocker walked back inside easily but needed a lift into the kennel. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
