My story

SWEET AND SOCIABLE GENTLE-GIANTS  DOB 5/3/21 Hey there, everyone! We’re Chase and Harry, a sweet, sociable, and playful pair of large-sized bonded brothers who love spending quality time snuggled right next to Foster Meowmy. And of course, we love interactive playtime with her when she waves the wand toy over our heads or snakes it around the room for us to chase. We’ve grown up with large, cat-friendly GoldenDoodles – and we head-butt them in hopes that they’ll play with us. Most of all, we love chasing and wrestling with each other as well as playing soccer with toy mice. We’re so close that it’s very distressing when we get separated from each other, so one of us will meow in search of his missing partner. I (Chase) am a super-friendly, outgoing, and affectionate tuxedo fella who’s never met a stranger. When new people come to visit, I immediately come out to greet them. I may even jump up where they’re sitting, and I often get rewarded for my bold curiosity with a head scratch or a back rub. I (Harry) am a quieter, more reserved soft-gray fella with a few tabby-stripe embellishments. Initially I hide when company arrives – but of course, no one notices because Chase is stealing the show with his flamboyant antics. It takes me about a day to warm up to new people. Once things have quieted down and I’ve determined that the “newbies” are safe, I too jump up next to them and meow for some head scratches. Yes, we’re both social cats; it just takes me longer to feel comfy before I luxuriate over people's attention. Living in Pennsylvania, Foster Meowmy had always fostered dogs, while her friend fostered cats. However, in June 2021, the height of “kitten season,” her friend told her that oodles of kittens were overwhelming the cat-foster homes. Since Foster Meowmy’s “a good egg,” she agreed to foster us cute six-week-old boys. Unfortunately, her family had multiple health issues, and once we were ready to be adopted, Foster Meowmy just didn’t have the time or the flexibility to take us to adoption events. She eventually gave up trying. Fast forward to January 2025 when we moved with Foster Meowmy to southeast Texas. Now she has caretaking support from extended family, and she finally has more time and freedom to take us to HOPE adoption events. Remember that we’ve always lived together and that my (Harry’s) shyness depends on my (Chase’s) extroversion for my (Harry’s) confidence. Therefore Foster Meowmy doesn’t feel that it’s right to separate us, so she’s insisting that we be adopted together – hopefully into a home without small children. We’re ready to bring our adoring companionship and playful antics to our forever home. Could that be you? Arrange to meet us! We have so much love to give – all we need is YOU! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting kitties like us who are past the stage of kitten mayhem. We're much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories. HOPE ID 25-0531-C057, C058 If you are interested in Chase and Harry and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to  http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at  hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Chase & Harry #bonded-brothers, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
