Mocha (fka Chestnut) was adopted from ARWOB in November 2024. Unfortunately, Mocha's adoptive family has had some significant changes in their lives and they can no longer provide the stability or the training she needs.  She tends to play rough with their older dog, but does also spend a lot of time snuggling with her.  Although she loves other dogs she meets, she doesn't always get the social cues from dogs she interacts with at the dog park. Mocha does need some more guidance when walking on a leash, as she gets excited and tends to pull. They have told us she is crate trained and gets along very well with their teenage children.  She has not had any exposure to cats, so we are not sure how she might behave around them.  Given her exuberant personality, she would likely do well in a home with older children.  She has access to a doggie door and is house trained, although she sometimes will misbehave and chew on things.  The perfect situation for Mocha would be a home with a yard and another doggie friend who has the same energy level that she has and enjoys rambunctious play.  She needs an adopter that will provide the additional training required to break her of a few of her bad habits.  We would love to find an experienced foster and/or adopter for Mocha, who has the time to provide the type of training she did not receive when she first joined her family back in November.  She would benefit from official group puppy training and spending time with a foster or adopter that will help her become the best dog she can be.  Please help us find Mocha the perfect forever family!  Submit an application at www.arwob.org right away!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application.
