My story

Maggie is currently at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. -Maggie is a female, possibly American Foxhound/Lab mix and is around 1 1/2 years old. -~75-80 pounds and a tall girl. The top of her head rests at my belly button and I am 5'4". -She came into our rescue as a found stray and was kept outside. She liked to play/chase the family's cows, so she wasn't a good fit on their farm. -Finder said she does fine with cats and since she was outside the entire time, they think she would be fine as an indoor dog and going outside to potty. -Very sweet natured, loves to be loved. Likes belly rubs and shakes on her own. -Unsure if she is housebroken. -Does well with other dogs. -Is not good about walking on a leash quite yet, she just lays down and rolls on her back. We are working on this with her! -Does better with women than men; we suspect a man has not been nice to her at some point. She did well with our animal control officer, who is a male. -Video of Maggie: https://youtube.com/shorts/cT5f4lIHqrg Maggie is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), has been dewormed, a negative heartworm test, on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $700, this is including all vetting above and $250 transport cost. Please fill out this application FIRST if you'd like to adopt Maggie: https://form.jotform.com/243134969050053 If you aren't contacted within 48 hours after filling out online form, please contact us again at 580-257-0622 or luckypawsdoghouse@gmail.com.
