Despite his prehistoric name, there's nothing dino-like about this sleek and handsome feline-except maybe his mysterious air and quiet confidence. Velociraptor is an independent cat who's looking for a calm, cozy home where he can fully settle into his own rhythm. He prefers to do things on his own terms and would appreciate a person who respects his space and pace. Velociraptor isn't a lap cat-no smooches or snuggles for this guy, thank you very much. He has sensitivities around restraint and handling, so a hands-off approach will help him feel safe and secure. His ideal home is one where he can have time to decompress in a safe confinement space and gradually explore as he grows comfortable. A quiet environment with predictable routines will help him shine. This guy lives for life's simple pleasures: tall cat trees with a good view, warm sunbeams to nap in, and the occasional chin scratch (if he's in the mood). With the right setup and plenty of patience, Velociraptor will reward you with the quiet companionship of a cat who knows what he likes.
