My story

Stitch is a lovely, handsome, and kind 9 year old boy who doesn't have a mean bone in his entire body! This is his second time at IAR, previously adopted as a young kitten until he lost his owner earlier this year. He is ready to spend the rest of his life being loved in his forever home! His front paws were declawed at some point in his life, but thankfully he doesn't have any major behavioral or health issues related to it. Stitch is a very adaptable cat who doesn't let much get him down! If something spooks him, he might hide initially but is quick to bounce back with a little encouragement. Stitch recently was introduced to a younger female cat named T-Kitty, and they have become close friends! His old age does not slow him down when it comes to playing with her. Despite having so much life experience already, he is definitely willing to learn new things from T-Kitty (like that loud toys can be really fun)! Stitch loves catnip, and his favorite toy is his catnip banana! He licks it and plays with it more than any other toy. A simple boy with simple needs! Between Stitch and T-Kitty, Stitch is definitely the more social of the two. He is always ready at the door to his room whenever his foster parents come to visit him, excited for endless pets! But he is not high maintenance by any means, and is okay with being left alone for a while without getting lonely or bored. T-Kitty being with him helps the two of them stay entertained while their foster parents are away. He is very polite and although he is not a lap cat, he will snuggle right up next to you in bed if you let him. If you pet him enough, he might even roll over to let you give him tummy rubs. He is very gentle too, and is never aggressive around familiar faces. If you show Stitch kindness, he will repay it with endless affection and tiny little squeaks. He always talks for his food with a very high pitched squeak for such a big handsome man! Stitch and his friend T-Kitty are ready for their forever home where they can feel safe and loved for many years to come!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Stitch, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
