My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I am playful and cute!I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy!A volunteer writes: This sweet floppy-eared girl is Genesis, and she's quite the little charmer. On our first walk together, she excitedly ran up to her kennel door as I opened it, full of wags and wiggles. Being a young, energetic pup, I took her to the play-yard, and boy, did she have fun! We played her version of fetch, in which she happily chases the ball, gallops back to me, then plops down and gets to work chewing away at it. I tried a toy too and she lounged out on the grass and entertained herself by pulling it apart. I think the only thing she loves more is getting lots of pets, especially having her ears and back scratched...she leans in and does these cute little wiggle-dances, with her tail happily swishing around. She was also friendly and social with staff during her Intake, Medical Exam, and Behavior Assessment.Though we don't know Genesis' history, she's had some training - she knows "sit" and "shake", takes treats nicely, and seems to be housebroken. At the shelter, Genesis has shown distress when passing other dogs and during doggie playgroup and therefore, it's recommended that she avoid dog parks at this time.
