Zoey ("Zoe-Zoe")

My story

Zoey is currently in foster in Puerto Rico. She will be flown to her chosen, approved home (included in adoption fee), so apply today! Meet Zoey, aka "Zoe-Zoe"!!! First thing about Zoey... the most CHILL pup around! She has had a hard start in life, before The Puerto Rico Dog Fund was able to rescue her from a bad home, but this girl doesn't have a mean bone in her body. In fact, we are working on confidence! She's an absolute love bug and auto-rolls to get tummy rubs when you talk to her and approach. She loves to hang with other dogs, is great with kids / people and we notice that she may continue to blossom more with a confident doggie sibling to continue to show her the ropes. She gets along great with cats and is doing well on her leash walk. Her challenge is that if she is suprised or caught off guard, she immediately belly drops and gets submissive :( We know this, so we are cautiously introducing her to new situations so as not to stress her. She rides well in the truck with us and has started jumping in and out because adventures are fun! But, man.... cuddle or hang out?!? She's your girl! She's very happy to hang with you all day, greets you warmly with tail wagging, and is also trusted to go in and outside by herself with no issue. She is 95% potty trained, with the only time she had an issue was when she is scared and "submissive tinkles". Otherwise, she holds it overnight. She lays quietly all night on her doggie pillow and is very respectful of the house. She would love to jump up on the couch and lay with you for nighttime cuddles.
