Pookie

My story

This handsome charismatic boy is Pookie. Pookie is a 3 year old, 70lb Black Pitbull. He came into the shelter as a stray on 6/14/25. He has so many great qualities. Pookie is 100% housebroken. He has a strong pull on the leash and he wanted to meet the other dogs in their kennels and would sniff them and wag his tail. He’s not a jumper or a barker. He has a laid back calm demeanor. He likes to be close to his people and will try and get in your lap. He’s a snuggler, he knows how to sit on command and will do so very often. He’s waiting for a treat and because he’s so treat motivated and wants to please, he should be easy to teach. He’s very well behaved and he has the most unusual markings. He has a white patch on the backside of each paw and a stripe on each side of his manhood. The very tips of his back paws are white. This boy is going to make some adopter very happy. I know I feel lucky to have met him.
