This beautiful chocolate-colored mama was found starving, pregnant, and doing her best to survive on the streets. When she arrived in rescue, her body was so depleted she couldn’t even produce milk for her newborn puppies. But with time, care, and steady meals, Mocha began to recover—and slowly, her mothering instincts and strength kicked in. Despite her best efforts, one of her two puppies didn’t survive. But Mocha poured every ounce of love and care into her surviving pup, Shadow, who is now thriving thanks to her determination. Mocha is gentle, soulful, and incredibly affectionate.
