Blaze

My story

Apply to Adopt Me! Blaze is an approx 7 to 8-year-old, 6-7lb. chihuahua mix. He is a cuddle bug who loves the warmth of your lap. Once he is comfortable with his person, he is quite dedicated. He can be very boisterous at times; he has a big voice for a little guy. At bedtime he loves to sleep under the covers cuddled next to you in your bed.  He loves soft squeaky toys and will often be seen with two in his mouth and trying for a third. He will snatch a toy from other dogs whether large or small and will quickly run away with it. Although not aggressive, he is assertive and tries to be the number one dog, pushing his tiny self in front of the other dogs to be first in line for toys or treats. He does well for a bath. Blaze is working on potty training; and he currently wears a belly band due to occasional marking. He needs someone who is home often to continue his potty training with taking him out often. He gets along well with other small dogs and with a slow, supervised introduction, large dogs too. He walks well on a leash but will bark at other dogs and wants to give chase to anything that he sees moving. He rides in a dog stroller just fine and does well when other dogs are in the stroller with him.  He is good with meeting new people. During car rides, he likes to look out the window, but he needs a secure tether as he prefers sitting in your lap. Blaze is a wonderful little dog with a cutest personality. Due to his small size, we are requiring an all-adult home for him.
