Raymond is almost 13 weeks old and weighs 24 lbs! He is a sweet and easygoing pup. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and truly one of the happiest boys. Every night around 9 PM, he puts himself to bed in his crate and patiently waits until morning for his foster mom to let him out for breakfast—no fuss, just routine. Raymond plays well with other dogs and is respectful of both the older pups in the home and the younger ones. He loves his Kong, still treasures his crinkle toys, and snuggles his Lamby—his favorite toy since he was just three weeks old. Lamby may have a little less stuffing these days, but he’s still very much loved. Raymond’s always nearby, often napping wherever the family is hanging out. He also enjoys playing in the water when he’s outside—splashing around is one of his favorite ways to cool off and have fun. According to his Wisdom Panel, Raymond is a mix of American Staffordshire Terrier (34%), American Pit Bull Terrier (14%), Great Pyrenees (9%), Siberian Husky (9%), Alaskan Malamute (8%), Brittany (6%), Labrador Retriever (6%), and Basset Hound (5%), with a sprinkle of Beagle and Border Collie. His estimated adult weight is between 46 and 79 pounds. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2371309##
