My story

Meet Sterling – the sweetest little survivor with a heart of gold. Sterling was sadly dumped at a farm in Springfield Township near Akron. The farm owner didn’t want him and let him wander off, fending for himself. An older gentleman began feeding him, but the local unneutered feral males saw him as a threat and began attacking him. The gentleman’s caregiver tried everything—posting on lost-and-found pages, contacting shelters and rescues—but no one could help. She even considered getting him neutered and returning him outside, but Sterling was just too young, too beat up, and way too sweet to be left out there. She begged us to come meet him—and we’re so glad we did. Sterling melted in our arms, letting us carry him like a baby past barking dogs without a care in the world. He’s calm, affectionate, and so full of love. Now neutered, vetted, and finally safe, Sterling is ready for a forever home where he’ll never be abandoned again. He’s truly a gem—gentle, grateful, and absolutely lovable.
