My story

Delilah is located in the Raleigh NC area! Delilah is the kind of dog who speaks with her eyes. She’s calm, soulful, and just wants to be near her people whether that means running errands, going for a casual walk, or curling up under a blanket on the couch. She’s quiet in the home, never destructive, crate-trained with a little encouragement leading into the crateand fully housebroken. She loves a good squeaky toy, enjoys chewing on a bone, and thrives in peaceful environments. Her favorite moments of the day are simply being with you. She does great at the vet and has an easygoing temperament that makes her a joy to have around. What others say: “Meeting Delilah for the first time, she was curious and sweet. A little cautious, but interested in me. She warmed up quickly with gentle affection and felt like such a soulful, loving presence. She’s the kind of dog who could be your quiet companion happy to just hang out near you.” Delilah walks beautifully on retractable leash and is currently learning some new training skills like her come back when called command with us. She doesn’t have chaotic energy she’ll do a little zoomie burst, then settle in for cuddles. She adapts quickly to routines and would thrive with someone who values connection over chaos. Meeting New People: Delilah can be a bit more cautious around people at first but it’s nothing a calm energy, a warm handshake between her handler and new person , and five minutes of patience can’t fix. She takes her cues from those she trusts, so if you show her someone is safe, she’ll be right there with you no treats necessary. It’s not a flaw just a dog who’s learning that the world can be kind. Dog-Friendly? Yes! Delilah is neutral and calm around other dogs she did very well with the little dogs we first introduced her to and the dogs that were around her she could care less not reactive to them at all. We’re slowly introducing social interactions and so far, she’s been gentle and respectful. She previously raised a litter, and her nurturing energy still shows. Cats? We’re unsure, but with proper intros, we believe she could do well. Kids? We haven’t officially tested her with children yet, but based on her demeanor, we believe she’ll do best with respectful kids who understand boundaries. If you’re looking for a grounded, affectionate, easygoing companion with a big heart and calm energy, Delilah might be your perfect match. She’s a gentle soul ready to blossom in the right home.
