My story

Wick is a 90+ pound sweetheart with a big heart and an even bigger need for love. Loyal, affectionate, and gentle, he has all the makings of a perfect companion. But right now, shelter life is taking a toll. The noise, constant activity, and lack of routine are overwhelming for him—it’s clear he belongs in a home, not a kennel.What Wick truly needs is a calm, loving environment where he can exhale, feel safe, and return to being the happy, trusting dog we know he is. Even in the midst of his stress, Wick seeks out affection and leans into human connection. He enjoys quiet walks, soft beds, and simply being near his people.Wick is house-trained, neutered, and knows his basic commands. He gets along with some other dogs and would thrive with patient, experienced adopters who understand large-breed dogs and can give him time to settle in.He doesn’t need much—just stability, kindness, and a little room to stretch out.
